Physical Testing Overview
Physical testing is a critical step in ensuring the quality, durability, and safety of a product. It involves subjecting a product to various stresses and conditions to see how it performs under real-world use. This process helps us identify potential weaknesses and make improvements before the product reaches the market. For Sr Labs, this means our products are designed to be both reliable and long-lasting.
Our Core Services
Durability Testing
This test assesses a product’s ability to withstand repeated use over time without breaking down. We use machines to simulate years of wear and tear in a short period.
Drop and Impact Testing
This test determines how well a product can handle accidental drops and impacts. We drop products from specific heights onto different surfaces (like concrete or wood) to see if they crack, shatter, or stop functioning. This is especially important for electronics and delicate items.

Vibration Testing
This test simulates the vibrations a product might experience during shipping or transport. We place products on a vibrating table to see if any components loosen or break.
Temperature and Humidity Testing
We test products in extreme environmental conditions to ensure they work correctly in hot, cold, humid, or dry climates. Products are placed in specialized chambers that can simulate temperatures from below freezing to well above 100 degrees Celsius, as well as high humidity levels.
Tensile and Compression Testing
These tests measure a material’s strength. Tensile testing pulls a material apart to see how much force it can withstand before it breaks. Compression testing does the opposite, by pushing on a material to see how much force it can handle before it deforms. This information is vital for choosing the strongest materials for our products, ensuring they can handle the pressure of everyday use.
